Sign In FAQ
If you're experiencing problems signing into the
Blumberg.com Web site, please review the frequently asked
questions below.
Why does
Blumberg.com require cookies?
When you successfully sign into Blumberg.com, our site sets
a cookie in your browser that indicates you're allowed access
to the member only sections of the site. This way, as you
move from page to page, we can tell that you've already
successfully signed into the site (and don't have to ask for
your password repeatedly). We do not use cookies to
track personal marketing information. For more information,
please see our privacy policy.
Check for
the correct URL
Please check the URL listed in your web browser's "Location"
or "Address" box (this should be near the top of your screen).
Ensure that it reads:

- and not
-
- http://www.blumberg.com./
Please note the trailing dot (".") character in the second
URL, which will prevent you from logging in.
Netscape
(6.0 & later) and Mozilla (all versions)

From the Edit menu, choose Preferences

Click on the arrow next to Privacy & Security
to expand this branch of options

Click on Cookies
-
Click on the radio button for Enable all
cookies.

Click OK
-
Return to the Blumberg.com home page and
try signing in again.

The web site says "You are not authorized to view this page"
If you are seeing an error message like the following:
You are not authorized to view this page
You might not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials you supplied.
If you believe you should be able to view this directory or page,
please try to contact the Web site by using any e-mail address or
phone number that may be listed on the www.blumberg.com home page.
You can click Search to look for information on the Internet.

You will need to change one of the settings in Internet Explorer:

Click on the Tools pull down menu

Click on Internet Options (or Options)

Click on the Advanced tab
-
Scroll down the list and uncheck the box next to "Show friendly HTTP error messages".

Click the OK button

Return to the blumberg.com home page and
try signing in again.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh cannot handle
some features used in a secure shopping cart. You may see an
error message when attempting to sign in to your account. If
you receive this message, please use another Web browser.

Cleaning
Out Old Blumberg.com Cookies
Some Internet Explorer 6 users who had trouble accessing
Member Only sections of our site in June 2003, may need
to take an additional step before being able to successfully
sign into our site. This step will clean out any old
Blumberg.com cookies that currently reside on yourcomputer.
(The old cookie isn't compatible with your browser and is
preventing us from setting a new cookie).

Click on the Tools pull down menu
-
Click on Internet Options
-
On the current tab (General) click the option that says
Delete Cookies... (towards the middle to the
window).
-
A dialog box will pop up to confirm you want to delete
all your cookies. Click the OK button.
-
Return to the Blumberg.com home page and
try signing in again.

still can't sign in!
If after trying the above techniques, you still experience
problems or have any questions not answered here, please let
us know by sending a mail to info@blumberg.com. Please
include which O/S (e.g., Windows or Mac) and which browser
you're using (including the version number, which can be found by clicking the Help menu and selecting About).
This will enable us to investigate the problem and hopefully
develop a solution for you and others. We appreciate your
